Unofficial Dipsea 2026 Race Analysis is an independent analysis tool built by Bryan Chambers. It uses the publicly available 2026 Dipsea preliminary results to help runners understand their race in context.

• Segment times are computed from official checkpoint splits (Top of Stairs, Windy Gap, Muir Woods, Cardiac, White Gate, The Stile). Passing or being passed cannot be verified between checkpoints without GPS data.

Glossary

Head start

Minutes the runner started before scratch, based on age and sex.

Group

Letter code (Z = scratch through AAA = 25 min) corresponding to head-start minutes.

Section

Invitational (top section) or Runner.

Actual time

Time from the runner's own start to the finish line.

Clock / finish-order time

Wall-clock time at the finish, the basis for the published overall place.
